The rule

Sweep → CHoCH → retest = confirmed

A sweep on its own is only a first step. A setup counts as confirmed only when all three steps happen in this order.

  1. 1Sweep

Price trades through a liquidity level (an old high or low, equal highs or lows, a day or session high or low) and takes the stop orders resting there.

  2. 2CHoCH by body close

A change of character: a 15-minute candle body closes beyond the external swing, the swing that started the move into the sweep. A wick alone does not count.

  3. 3Retest = confirmed

Price comes back into the order-block zone left by the move that made the CHoCH. Only then is the setup marked confirmed.

No break + retest = no trade. If the CHoCH does not close beyond the external swing, or price never comes back to the zone, the setup is closed as invalidated or expired and is shown that way in the history. We list these too, so the record is complete.
